Today, is my best friend, Rachel's 24th birthday!!! In honor of her, and her 24 years, I will write 24 reasons why she is my best friend!!
1. She is funny. So, so, funny.
2. She has a loud laugh, like me.
3. She isn't afraid to speak her mind -- even when it might hurt your feelings.
4. She is always there for me. No matter what.
5. She cries with me, laughs with me, and gets angry with me when I'm angry.
6. She flew (and drove) to Houston to be with me on my wedding day, and various other wedding events.
7. She loves Malibu Rum.
8. She is one of the most independent people I know.
9. She is so thoughtful, and cares about my family.
10. She sends me cards in the mail just to say hi, and that she's glad we are friends.
11. She supports me in anything.. even when she knows it might not be the best thing for me.
12. She never says, "I told you so..." when I mess up, she is just there for me to cry.
13. She woke me up on my night before my wedding crying, and apologized repeatedly for ruining my wedding day... which she didn't.. and she is just silly.
14. She loves to read and recommends books to me, and mails them to me.
15. She stands up for me.
16. She teaches me to stand up for myself.
17. She loves old, big band music, and now loves Michael Buble!
18. She is a social worker!!
19. She cares about the kids on her case load so much, even though other parts of her job are frustrating.
20. I can be myself with her and not have to pretend at all.
21. We can talk about anything, and everything for hours.
22. She walked me through using the Magic Bullet over the phone.
23. We think the same things are funny..
24. And the last reason why Rachel Wolf is my best friend is because I can call her and say, "hello" and she can read my mood in a second.. just like I can do for her...
I've never had a more true, genuine friend than you, Rachel!!
