8 Weeks

8 weeks from today, I will marry the man of my dreams. Wow. Whew. 8 weeks. That seems so short!! There is still so much to do!! In honor of the 8 week countdown, here is a list of 8 things I still need to do (as if there is only 8, maybe more like the day countdown, which is 56...):

1) Pick a bridal picture to be enlarged for the bridal portrait display at the reception.

2) Go to the courthouse and get our marriage license and birth certificates so that we can re-enter The United States of America after our honeymoon in Puerto Rico.

3) Print and assemble the programs.

4) Meet with the minister who is marrying us. Hopefully, I will talk to him this week. Long story...

5) Buy Groomsmen gifts. Decide if I want to buy anything else for the Bridesmaids.

6) Select food for menu at rehearsal dinner.

7) Choose a song for friend Caty to sing during the ceremony, and a song for our first dance.

8) Get David's ring engraved. His is so boring and plain, I want to put a special message inside.

Now the list goes on -- we have the meet with the reception place and finalize and pay the remainder of the balance (EEK!), buy a garter (which I really don't want, but will do in honor of tradition), make the favors, decorate the church, decorate the reception place..... and on and on and on.

BUT. It doesn't matter how much we have left to do. We'll get it done. My Mom & sisters have been so amazing at helping me with everything... I could not have gotten this far without them. And, even if we don't get it all done, just the way I'd like for it to go - it's okay, because in 8 weeks, I will begin the rest of my life with the best man in the entire world...
He'll be my husband, and I'll be his wife!!!
