Isaiah 55:8-9

Isaiah 55: 8-9 reads: "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts."

These verses have been on my heart and mind the past couple of days. This morning, while reading in my Bible before going to work, I read and spent time praying over these verses.

I've been really caught up in the NFL players who were out for a fishing trip, and their boat was overturned, and 3 of the 4 fishermen have not been found. His ways are not our ways. We don't understand why this happened. I can not understand why these young men were washed away at sea... My heart breaks for their families. Last night, David and I read an article on the man who was recovered from the Gulf of Mexico after clinging onto a boat for 46 hours, and I just cried, and prayed for the families of the men who have still not been found. His ways are not our ways.

Then, this morning, my co-worker, Lynn came into work, and said that her daughter, who is 6 months pregnant went into early labor last night and may lose the baby. His ways are not our ways.

Even though things happen in our lives that we can't even begin to understand.. we can take comfort in these verses. He knows! "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9
