Update on Life

So, it's been awhile since I've posted. I thought I'd give anyone who reads this a little update on what is going on in the life of David, Kristen & Millie.

Things have been great. Married life is fun, and challenging.. all at the same time! I'm learning in church about the marriage of Isaac and Rebakah and have been able to put some good truths to practice. Speaking of church, I've been seeking the Lord on how to get involved at Houston's First Baptist Church. I love the church, but it's really easy to just go to the service, and blend in with the other thousands of people in the pews. I feel like the Lord is calling me to step out of this comfort zone and get involved in Sunday School. Just this week, I feel like I may have found the right class for me!! I haven't gone yet (ha!) but I just really feel that the Lord has placed this class in my tracks for a reason.

Family is wonderful! We have a new addition! My sister, Jennifer had little Easton in February! It's been fun to have a BOY in our family! My Nana has recently been experiencing some poor health, and was in the hospital for a week. She is now in a rehab facility to regain her strength.. We are currently waiting for some results from a biospy that was done a few weeks ago. Please keep her in your prayers.

I've taken on the journey of changing my lifestyle to be more healthy, and lose weight (again!). Please, please, pray for me! I LOVE food! But, I also want to be healthy. I already have high blood pressure at age 25, so I feel like I'm already at-risk for heart disease and diabetes... which is in my family. I've started to repeat Psalm 119:103 "How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey in my mouth." when I start to crave something that I know I shouldn't have! It's amazing how effective the Word of God is!

Anyway, David is still working for Famous Footwear and has his good and bad days. But, seriously, don't we all? We're getting close to our 2 year anniversary and are hoping to celebrate a weekend away in San Antonio! We'll keep our fingers crossed and money saved!

I'm going to try to write more on here -- even if no one reads, it'll be good for me to get some thoughts out! Til then...
