Oh, really? I thought I might since it feels like I'm swallowing razorblades!
According to the doctor I was her 4th (and worse) case of strep that morning. She loaded me up with 500mg of amoxicillin 3 times a day for 10 days and sent me home. I go back to work Monday. Just in time to miss this gigantic conference we have been planning at work on Friday. I feel all kinds of terrible for not being there. But, thankfully, my Mom taught me to be organized & prepared, so my amazing coworkers can just take over my tasks.
So, I'm home, sipping gatorade, (the G2 - low calorie - blueberry pomegranate Gatorade is simply delicious!) eating ice cream, pudding, jello and popsicles... Mostly through tears because it hurts so bad. I'm quite pathetic actually. My poor mom & husband who get the crying phone calls and can probably not even comprehend what I'm saying. That's love.
I say all this to say, strep throat is not for wimps, y'all. It's awful.
In other, more exciting news ::
David got a promotion at work! He is now the store manager of the Famous Footwear on Fry Rd. I could not be more proud of him!
This means he is off every Sunday, which means we can go to church together & find a Sunday Bible Study class! Oh, thank you Lord for your faithfulness!
I've also started a really amazing Bible study called Duty or Delight by Tammie Head with the book clubbers at www.thekisers.blogspot.com
I read the introduction pre-strep throat on Monday night & was underlining & writing YES!! in the margins of the book. I'm so excited about what the Lord will show me through His word & this study.
I'll leave you with the sweetest picture my mom texted me this morning. EmmyKate is the world's best niece - she has completely stolen my heart.

P.S. I'm Kicken :)
